The Wadkin XJ 220 Series high performance planer moulders, versatile quick set-up machines, developed especially for economical short to medium batch production. Reliable shaft driven feedworks for the positive handling of timber under every application and condition - powered rise and fall to the feedworks and all top pressures, pneumatic loading to all top driven feed rolls, spring loaded idel rollers, solid side pressures and guides, together with top head power rise anf fall clutches and pneumatic loading to the driven bed rolls throughout the of the machine, makes the XJ 220 the most positive through feed machine available.
XJ220 - 6 HEADS (SHORT INFEED) - 6-HEAD - Head sequence: Bottom, fence side (vertical), nearside (vertical), top, second top and second bottom. Digital readouts to all heads (except first bottom). Four roll heavy duty push feed works with driven bed rollers and through feed works. Cardan shaft drive. Powered vertical adjustment to top heads and pneumatic pressures. Infinitely variable feed speeds 10 - 50 m/min (33 - 165 fpm). Two spindle speeds 4500 and 9000 rpm with jointers to all heads. Max size of finished timber 220 x 120 mm. 11 kW (15 HP) to first bottom, 7.5 kW (10 HP) each to both side heads and the feed. 15 kW (20 HP) each to both top heads and second bottom.
