Through a support network of regional based mechanical and electrical engineers, Wadkin deliverers tailored contracts to cover all makes and models and woodworking machinery with regular service visits. A comprehensive multi-point inspection is carried out for each piece of equipment including important health and safety checks to help ensure machinery is operating safety and in compliance with PUWER. A detailed report is submitted after every visit clearly highlighting any remedial work required.
With today’s emphasis on high technology, high production manufacturing processes when something goes wrong quick reaction is key to minimise downtime. Wadkin offers reactive breakdown cover for all types and makes of woodworking machinery. The technical support team will help identify the problem before allocating an electrical or mechanical engineer as required. More complex repairs can be carried out in our extensive engineering workshops, centrally located in Nottingham.
Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) refers to equipment that extracts air from a processing environment controlling operators exposure to potentially harmful dust, fumes and vapours. As set out in the Health Safety at Work Act 1974, it is a legal requirement for LEV systems to be checked by a competent person at least every 14 months to ensure it is operating correctly.
Using state of the art testing equipment, our P601 qualified inspection engineers will make a thorough examination of flow rates and technical performance. On completion an LEV report will be submitted detailing your systems performance, highlighting any areas that do not comply.
Wadkin offers a range of modification and upgrade possibilities for older equipment including braking systems to reduce stopping time, new guarding and interlock systems to restrict operator access to moving parts, and the latest tooling. Our team of highly experienced engineers and support staff are available to discuss the options.
A dedicated parts department provides both rapid response and the best technical advice. Genuine Wadkin parts ensure your machine remains truly Wadkin and continues to serve your needs for many years to come. The parts department also provides spares for the vast majority of other woodworking machine manufacturers. With a comprehensive in-house engineering facility any anything not readily available can be manufactured to order.
