Wadkin BTS Planer Thicknesser
The Wadkin wedge bed construction eliminates table shake and gives a perfect planed finish. Infinitely variable feed speed enables the correct speed to be selected for optimum finish. Power rise and fall increases production and reduces operator fatigue.
Supplied with a superior cutterblock complete with 4 knifes with patented 'spingball' wedges. Unique fence design allows the lateral adjustment handwheel to move across with the fence - an important safety feature. There is no need to lean across the machine to adjust the fence.

BTS500 20" x 9" - 500 x 230 mm (20" x 9") - Top tables 1800 mm (71") long, variable speed feed 6 - 18.2 m/min (20 - 60 fpm), 4-knife cutterblock. Power rise and fall to the bottom table which is of wedge bed construction, one set of planing knives. Two motors (5.5 kW (7.5 HP) to the cutterblock and 0.75 kW (1 HP) to the feed) (3 phase).
