Wadkin MT Mortiser
The machine operates either chain or chisel which are mounted at opposite ends of one direct motorised headstock. The headstock rotates within the main frame to bring either the chain or chisel into the working position. The mortising stroke is air operated, ensuring fast rates of working.
Control is by foot pedal which also starts and stops the mortising tools. Length and speed of stroke is infinitely variable. Table has longitudinal and lateral movements controlled by handwheels. Pneumatic operation of the lateral movement can be provided. The machine is of substantial construction to withstand hard usage and give reliable service under all conditions.

Capacity: Admits timber 305 mm (12") deep x 230 mm (9") wide. Takes chains up to 32 mm (1.25") wide and chisels up to 25 mm (1") square.
