Wadkin GB Planer Moulder
The GB Series from Wadkin is a breed of planing and moulding machine based on the highly successful GA series, providing top quality production up to a finished size of 220 x 120 mm with perfect straightening.
With cast iron base and a total weight of 3 tonnes the GB range really is built to last. Even the mist inexperienced operator can get the best out a the GB - replacing the output of three or four single operation machines.

GB220 - WITH STRAIGHTENING (5 HEADS) - Head sequence: Bottom, fence side (vertical), nearside (vertical), top and second bottom. Through-feed works and two metre long straightening table. Power vertical adjustment to top head and pressures. The first bottom head has an edge reference block. Infinitely variable feed speed 6 - 28 m/min (20 - 92 fpm). Cutterblock speed 6000 rpm. Max size of finished timber 220 x 120 mm. 7.5 kW (10 HP) motor to top head, 5.5 kW (7.5 HP) each to fence and nearside heads and second bottom, 4 kW (5.5 HP) to first bottom and 2.2 kW ( 3 HP) to the feed. (3 phase).
GB2205U - WITH STRAIGHTENING (6 HEADS) - Head sequence: Bottom, fenceside (vertical), nearside (vertical), top, second bottom and universal. Through feed works and two metre long straighteniing table. Power vertical adustments to the top head and pressures. Digital readouts to all cutterhead adustments. A noise reducing safety cover with vision panels and a light covers the working area of the machine. Infinitely variable feed speeds 6 - 22 m/min, cutterblock speed 6000 rpm. Max size of finished timber 220 mm x 120 mm. Eight motors: 4 kW (5.5 HP) to bottom, 5.5 kW (7.5 HP) each to both side heads, second bottom and universal, 7.5 kW (10 HP) to top head, 2.2 kW (3 HP) to feed and 0.37 kW (0.5 HP) to beam rise/fall. (3 phase).
