Wadkin FB Planer Moulder
An entirely new design of compact, medium-duty moulder for work up to 7" x 4" or 9" x 4". The notably clean and modern appearance is matched by a simplicity of controls and adjustments, making the machine very suitable for quick setting-up of detailed mouldings.
Together with its economical price, will bring four-side machining within the scope of the smaller user, and supplement larger installations for shorter run work. The machine is also ideally suited to technical establishments as all syllabus requirements can be taught and demonstrated. All cutterblocks are readily removable cone mounted. The spindles run at 6000 rpm and are driven by vee belts.

FB180 7" x 4" 180 x 100 mm (5 HEADS) - Head sequence: Bottom, top, fence side (vertical), nearside (vertical), second top and second bottom. Compound adjustment to all cutterheads. Six feed speeds through gearbox 6.1 - 30.5 m/min (20 - 100 fpm). Two speeds to the cutter spindles 4200 and 6000 rpm. Seven motors 5.5 kW (7.5 HP) to each cutterhead and to the feed (3 phase).
FB220 9" x 4" 220 x 100 mm Head sequence: Bottom, top, fence side (vertical), nearside (vertical), second top and second bottom. Compound adjustment to all cutterheads. Twelve feed speeds through gearbox 6 - 45.7 m/min (20 - 150 fpm). Two speeds to the cutter spindles 4200 and 6000 rpm. Seven motors: 7.5 kW (10 HP) to the first bottom head, 5.5 kW (7.5 HP) each to the two side heads, 11 kW (15 HP) each to the two top heads, 15 kW (20 HP) to the second bottom head and a 2-speed 5.5/4 kW (7.5/5.5 HP) motor to the feed. (3 phase).
